Pretty Hair Challenge
I am so glad that Pretty Hair has been a part of the conversation helping girls build their self-confidence and self-esteem. As I am hearing more and more about hair discrimination affecting so many children, it hurts my heart.
I believe that race-based hair discrimination continues because of lack of education. Through the book Pretty Hair girls learn to love themselves and respect others' differences at a young age.
I have created a challenge to have a copy of Pretty Hair sent to every elementary school in the United States. There are approximately 90,000 elementary schools in the United States. Click the link below to join the challenge and make a donation today.
